Two basic concepts that I learned from the Deep Dive video is that all team members are thought of as equals. A large group is formed and ideas are thrown around to create a large concept map and no matter what the position or ranking all members ideas are of equal importance. Another concept I picked up during the video is that the only thing not designed by man is nature. This makes one stop and think about their everyday objects and how many processes it took to get that item in the users hand, processes that are explained well in the reading hand out.
The Writer's Toolbox explains different ways to generate visual concepts using writing. Mind and concept maps, free writing, brain writing, and word lists are all importance processes to creating new and better designed objects. Whether it be individual or a group effort writing down thoughts and words helps to get the juices flowing for creative problem solving.

First Critique!
Overall critique went well, got some positive feedback and some constructive criticism. I could've added text to explain the purpose and meaning of the feather among lighters, but at least some peers understood it without explanation. One might consider rain on the first critique to be a bad omen but in the end the first critique of the semester went well.
